Valentine's Day Show Down
Woah. Who would have known that getting featured on an Etsy gift guide and making a sweet matching Top & Underwear set would result in this?! Leah, Avery and I just got done with the most maniacal two weeks EVER.
Leah was at a sewing machine non-stop working on all the Valentine's Arrow Fletch sets, Teal Twig sets, and Fighter Plane Boxer Briefs we sold. (thank goodness for all of our awesome friends who chipped in, especially Anne, seamstress extraordinaire, who rocked our V-day orders so hard!)
I was rushing to the shop directly from work every day to screen print, finish seams, and do whatever else I could do with my limited sewing skills. Truth be told, I don't even hold a candle to Leah's talent at the serger or cover stitch. Luckily I have pretty handwriting, and boy did I address a lot envelopes.
And Avery -- well he was working on this awesome Google search-stories website til the wee hours, but he totally came through in the end, fixing our wonky machines, cleaning clogged Fighter Plane screens, and offering mega tequila support when it was most required.
In the end, we slept very little, ruined a lot of nice clothes by not taking the time to change before printing, learned the importance of having your own postage machine, and really got to know the stressed out sides of one another. But we shipped all our V-day orders out on Tuesday, with enough time for (most) everybody to give their sweetheart an amazing Valentine gift on the 14th.
Happy Valentine's Day everybody. we are happy to have helped.
